Houghton, Mich. - Mercyhurst left Michigan's Upper Peninsula Sunday with a 7-2 GLIC win at Michigan Tech. The Lakers, who dropped a 7-2 verdict at Lake Superior State Saturday, improved to 9-7 overall and to 3-3 in the conference. The Huskies dropped to 3-11 and 1-4 respectively.

Mercyhurst took five of six singles matches and two of three doubles.

The Lakers will entertain conference-rival Grand Valley State next Sunday.
