Savannah, Ga. - The Mercyhurst men's tennis team had a tall task in completing its spring break trip undefeated Friday, as the Lakers traveled to Savannah, Ga. to battle a strong Savannah College of Art and Design squad. Mercyhurst was only able to win two matches in a 7-2 loss.

Mariano Fava and Lee Michael Marnik continued their impressive doubles play, winning a hard-fought 9-8 (7-5) battle at No. 1 doubles. But the Lakers' only other point came at No. 6 singles, where Ronald Heurich got a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Kyle King battled at No. 5 singles, winning the second set, but eventually lost 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.

Mercyhurst, now 8-3 on the year, will host Northwood in its GLIAC opener March 18 at 10 a.m.
