Hilton Head, S.C. - The Mercyhurst men's tennis team improved to 5-0 on its spring break trip, rolling past Cabrini 8-1 Thursday in Hilton Head, S.C.

As has been the case for most of the spring break trip, the Lakers were rarely pushed, winning all six singles matches in straight sets and sweeping through doubles play by only dropping one game.

Mijo Cotic won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and paired with Mateusz Przybysz to win 8-0 at No. 2 doubles. Mariano Fava picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 and paired with Lee Michael Marnik for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Mercyhurst picked up a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles, while Cabrini's only win of the match came in a forfeit at No. 6 singles.

Now 8-2 on the year, Mercyhurst will close its road trip with a match at Savannah College of Art and Design Friday at 11 a.m.
