PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The men's lightweight eight came in third in the finals at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia.

The lightweight eight had been undefeated this season, until placing behind Division I foes Georgia Tech and St. Joseph's (Pa.) in the finals. GT won the event with a 5:55.06, and the Hawks posted a 5:56.24 for second. Mercyhurst was third at 6:01.55, followed by Jacksonville (6:05.74), Grand Valley State (6:08.46) and Northwestern (6:09.73) in the six-boat race.

The Dad Vail Regatta concluded the Mercyhurst season.
