Erie, Pa. - Junior Jason Lashomb was named to Inside Lacrosse's Top Ten players to watch from Division II for the upcoming 2007-2008 season. Inside Lacrosse states in the article that, "As a junior in 2008, Lashomb will be the favorite to take home national Goalie of the Year honors."

In 2007, Lashomb garnered second team All-American honors after helping his team to a 13-2 record and an appearance in the DII National Championship game. He was also named to the East Coast Conference all-conference first team and recognized as the ECC Goalkeeper of the Week five times.

Lashomb started all 15 games between the pipes for the Lakers and had 6.74 goals against average. His goals against average are the second best single season mark in program history. Lashomb also ranked third in groundballs with 37 and tallied one point with an assist against Dominican (N.Y.).

Lashomb and the Mercyhurst Lakers men's lacrosse team are gearing up for its season debut on Feb. 24 against Queens University in North Carolina.
