Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst sophomore Jason LaShomb was named East Coast Conference Goaltender of the Week after making 15 saves in a 15-7 win over Adelphi Saturday. For LaShomb, it marks the fifth time that he has been named ECC Goaltender of the Week.

While the Mercyhurst offense was slow getting started, LaShomb shut out Adelphi during the first quarter with a pair of saves and added three saves in each of the middle two periods. With Adelphi pushing to get back in the contest, he made seven fourth-period saves. He also led the Lakers with four ground balls.

The Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team finished the regular season with a 12-1 record and won the ECC Championship with a perfect 6-0 mark. The Lakers, ranked No. 1 in the country, will host NYIT in the NCAA Division II Final Four May 19 or 20.
