Two Former Players Sign Pro Hockey Contracts
Aug. 19, 2005 Erie, Pa. - Former Mercyhurst hockey center Rich Hansen and left winger David Wrigley have signed professional hockey contracts. Hansen, 24, who had 127 points in 147 career games at Mercyhurst, signed with the Augusta (Ga.) Lynx of the East Coast Hockey League. Hansen, 5-11 and 180 pounds, also played four games with the Muskegon Fury of the Unted Hockey League at the end of last season. Wrigley, 25, signed a one-year contract with Muskegon. The Fury selected him 14th overall in the first round of the 2005 UHL draft, and he had three points in 11 regular season and playoff appearances. Wrigley, 6-0 and 200 pounds, scored 136 points in 141 career games at Mercyhurst. |
