Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst athletic department has announced dates and information for the 19th annual Rick Gotkin Hockey School. The camp will take place from July 30 through August 4 at the Mercyhurst College Ice Center.

The camp will take place for three different age groups. Mites and Squirts will have camp from 8-11:15 a.m. each day. Pee Wees will have camp from 11:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Bantam/Midget and High School Training will take place from 2:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.

The program will combine 2 ½ hours of on-ice instruction, covering skating, passing, puck handling, team play, shooting and positional play. A ratio of at least one coach per seven players will be maintained at all times. Each player will receive equal ice time, a camp jersey and certificate of completion.

There will be a mandatory final registration to be held at the Mercyhurst Ice Center on Sunday, July 29 from 9 a.m. until noon. Those not from the Erie area can complete this registration on Monday, July 30.

The cost for the camp is $200 and a non-refundable deposit of $70 is due at the time of application. A second $70 payment is due by June 30 and the final $60 are due at registration. If registration is paid in full by June 30, there is a 10% deduction in cost. Also, if more than one family member attends the camp, there is a 10% deduction for each additional student.
