Three Lakers Named to Atlantic Hockey Honor Roll

Feb. 25, 2008

Haverhill, Mass. - Three members of the Mercyhurst men's hockey team were honored by Atlantic Hockey following the Lakers' 0-1-1 weekend against second-place RIT. Freshman forward Steve Cameron and junior forwards Matt Pierce and Brett Robinson were named to the AH Honor Roll.

Cameron had one goal and two assists against the Tigers. He recorded his second multi-point game of the season in Saturday's 4-2 loss.

Pierce had two goals and added one helper over the weekend. His two points came in Saturday's loss, his third multi-point game of the season.

Robinson recorded a goal and two assists versus RIT. First multiple-point game of the season came in Friday's 3-3 overtime tie.

Mercyhurst's final regular season weekend will be a home-and-home against Canisius. Friday's game will be held in Buffalo at 7:05 p.m., while Saturday's face off will be in Erie at the same time. Saturday's contest will hold a couple pre-game festivities as it will be Senior Day for Kerry Bowman, Jamie Coghlan, Ben Cottreau, and Ryan Toomey. The winner of the Bill Smith Award will also be announced.
