Twelve Questions for Brett Robinson

Feb. 15, 2007

Erie, Pa. - Sophomore forward Brett Robinson has played 64 games in his career and all but two games in the current 2006-07 season. All told, he has contributed eight goals and 21 points. He has one of the team's two shorthanded markers this season.

He talked recently with Director of Hockey Operations, John Leisering.

When you came here in 2005, what were you expecting from the school and the men's hockey program?
I was expecting to improve as a hockey player and, of course, to win a championship as Mercyhurst has accomplished many times over the years.

Best moment in your career so far:
Receiving a hockey scholarship

Favorite type of music
I like everything, but I mainly like alternative, rock, and other laid back kinds of music.

Favorite food
Spicy sausage penne

Favorite TV show
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Favorite movie/actor or actress
Denzel Washington/Shawshank Redemption and Boondock Saints

Pre-game ritual
SLEEPING!

Toughest rink to compete in your years at Mercyhurst and why?
Bentley because it's so cold!

Traveling by bus or airplane?
Bus because we can watch movies the whole time.

Most people don't know that...
I've traveled to Russia

The last book you read
Hockey Tough

Where you see yourself five or ten years from now?
Hopefully, playing hockey either in the United States or Europe, getting married and having a dog.

Mercyhurst, currently 8th in Atlantic Hockey, travels to #1 Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) this Friday and Saturday. The Lakers close the regular season Saturday, February 24th, against Canisius at 7pm at the Ice Center.
