Brian Burke concluded his first year at Mercyhurst after working as an assistant coach at Adrian College in 2006-2007. Prior to Adrian, Burke was head coach for the Victory Honda Midget Major U-18 team for four seasons. Under his leadership, the team won five championships, including two in 2006, and won the state championship in 2004-05. Most recently, the squad was a state semi-finalist last season.

He also had head coaching stints with the Michigan Ice Dogs Midget Minor U-16 team in 2001-02 and Ann Arbor Pee Wee & Bantam Teams in 1997-2001.

Burke earned his B.S. degree at Eastern Michigan University.
