Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst junior Brendan Flood was named GLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week after winning the individual championship at the Great Lakes Fall Regional Tournament.

Among a field of 115 golfers from 23 different teams, Flood shot a 3-under par 139 to win the two day championship. After shooting even par 72 on the first day of competition, he stood two strokes off the lead. However, his 69 on the second day gave him medalist honors. It was the first time in his collegiate career that he finished with a round in the 60s.

Mercyhurst will be back in action again Friday at the Wayne State Invitational.
