Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst golf team shot a 310 and came up four strokes short of defeating Gannon in the Mercyhurst Invitational Saturday. Gannon won the event with a 306 team score, while the Slippery Rock Club Team had a 337.

Kyle Waddell shot a team-best 76 as four Lakers shot below 80. Tyler Bidwell had a 77, Ben Deets a 78, and Steve Barr a 79. Patrick Jackson's 82 was eliminated from the team score.

Gannon's Pat Kloecker took medalist honors with a 73. Mercyhurst's Ryan McNulty, who was not playing among the five scoring players, finished with the second best score, posting a 75. Darragh Agnew had a 93.

Mercyhurst will complete its fall season Tuesday in the Gannon Invitational.
