North East, Pa. - Saginaw Valley State won the 2005 GLIAC Golf Championship today. The Cardinals finished with a three-round, two-day total of 898 at the event, held at the Lake View Country Club. Mercyhurst finished fifth of ten teams with a total score of 910.

Gannon senior Dave Patronik finished in first place with a 54-hole score of 69-70-71=210. Mercyhurst junior Craig Bishop finished in sixth place with a total of 74-74-73-221.
