Bay City, Mich. - Mercyhurst got two-over par 73s from Steve Barr, Craig Bishop, and Brendan Flood Saturday, but could do no better than a 7th place finish out of nine teams at the one-day Saginaw Valley State Invitational. The Lakers' team total of 301 was 14 shots behind the first place Cardinals' total of 287. The event was held at the 6661-yards, par 71 Bay Valley Resort.

Only 17 strokes separated first-place Saginaw Valley from last-place Northwood. Mercyhurst individual scores are as follows:
