The Mercyhurst men's golf team finished out the Great Lakes Invitational on Monday in 23rd place. The Lakers shaved off four shots from day one and compiled a 311 on day two (+23). Senior Kyle Waddell shot par on day two and led the Lakers, finishing in 55th place out of 118 players individually.

Ashland University managed to hold on to its first place finish from day one by improving 16 shots on day two. John Furlong for Ashland shot a 73 (+1) and a 65 (-7) to the individual title.

Waddell posted a 152 total from both days and made an impressive improvement from day one (+8) to day two (+0). He has consistently led the Lakers now for the last three tournaments. Waddell was followed on Monday by Mercyhurst teammates junior Tyler Bidwell (+9), senior Steve Barr (+18), freshman Patrick Jackson (+18), and junior Derek Fisher (+23).

The Lakers return to the links today at the Allegheny Invitational.
