Mercyhurst Grouped Tightly In Fall Regional

South Haven, Mich. - The Mercyhurst men's golf team shot a 305 during day one of a tightly contested Great Lakes Fall Regional Sunday. The Lakers sit in 15th place, just 12 strokes out of first.
Bellarmine leads the event with a 293, followed by Ferrist State with a 294 and Northern Kentucky with a 296. The Lakers are one shot behind both Drury and Lewis and are five strokes out of seventh place.
Senior Brendan Flood let Mercyhurst with an even par 72, just two shots off the best individual score of the day. Kyle Waddell posted a 76 and Steven Barr had a 77. Tyler Bidwell shot an 80 and Craig Bishop finished with an 85.
Mercyhurst will play day two of the event Monday looking to move up in the final standings.
