Clarion, Pa. - The Mercyhurst men's golf team shot two round totals of 300 and 299 to place fourth out of 15 teams at the Hal Hansen Invitational, hosted by Clarion University, Sunday and Monday.

The Lakers' score of 599 place them three shots ahead of Shepherd and five shots ahead of Millersville. Clarion won the event with a 584, followed just one shot behind by Concord. Ohio Valley shot a 592 to finish third.

Tyler Bidwell tied for sixth place in the individual standings with a 2-over 146. He shot even par 72 on day one and followed that up with a 74 on day two. Kyle Waddell ended one shot back with a 147 after shooting even par on his final round.

Steve Barr shot a 151, Tim Falkner ended with a 156 and Craig Bishop shot a 162 for the Lakers.

Mercyhurst will compete next in the Penn State Behrend Invitational Thursday.
