Clarion, Pa. - Mercyhurst junior Craig Bishop captured individual medalist honors today at the Hal Hansen (Clarion University) Invitational, but the Lakers could only muster an eighth place tie.

Bishop fired a three-under par total of 141. He had a three-under 69 on Monday to go with his par 72 score on Sunday.

Ohio Valley shot a second day total of 289 (1 over par) and pulled away to win the invitational with a two day team score of 581. Concord finished second with a 587, host Clarion was third with a 590, Fairmont State was fourth with a 595, and Millersville and West Liberty tied for fifth with a 598. Mercyhurst had a two-day total of 608, +32.
