Erie, Pa. - Craig Bishop shot a 75-76 to tie for medalist honors as the Mercyhurst men's golf team placed second out of five teams at the Gannon Invitational.

The Lakers shot a 311-310 621 for the tournament, losing to Gannon by just six strokes. Penn State-Behrend followed in third with a 649 team score and the Penn State Behrend B Team shot a 669. Edinboro finished last with a 695.

Bishop's 151 individual score was good enough to tie Gannon's Mitch Molen for the individual championship. Brendan Flood shot back-to-back 77s for a 154, while Kyle Waddell and Steve Barr had a 159. Tyler Bidwell was one stroke back and Ben Deets shot a 161. Tim Falkner added a 166 for Mercyhurst and Pat Henk shot a 170.
