John Marchetti will begin his second year as head men's golf coach in 2007-08 after having served two years as an assistant for both the men's and women's golf programs at Mercyhurst.

Marchetti came to Erie in 2003 as an assistant coach for women's hockey after having served as a head women's hockey coach at Providence College and Yale University. While at Providence he served as a volunteer coach with the men's golf program and attended professional golf school in Naples, Florida in 1994. After successfully earning his teaching degree, he then went on to California for one year working part-time for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and Glendora Community College before returning to women's hockey in the fall of 1995.

John brings over 40 years of golf experience along with 23 years of coaching hockey at the collegiate level.
