Series History
Mercyhurst is 4-2 all-time against Wayne State, including a 3-0 mark in the friendly confines of Tullio Field. A year ago, Wayne State won a 35-31 barnburner in Detroit, Mich. behind the 318-yard rushing total of Joique Bell. Mercyhurst led 28-21 at the half and 31-28 after three quarters, but Bell's 39-yard touchdown with just over four minutes left gave the Warriors the victory. The Lakers are also 12-14 all-time in home openers.
