Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst College senior cornerback/kick returner Theo Hall has been named NCAA Division II football second team preseason All-American by Consensus Draft Services.

Hall, at 5-foot-8 and 162 pounds, was named to the second team All-America list as a cornerback following a stand-out junior season. He was named second team All-GLIAC after posting a team-high five interceptions and averaging 23.7 yards on 44 kick returns. He holds school records for kick return yardage in a season and career, as well as total kick returns in a season and career. His 1,134 all-purpose yards in 2007 were the seventh-highest single season total in program history.

On special teams, Hall was not just a kick returning specialist, but he blocked two kicks as well. He forced a fumble and added 12 pass break-ups. In Mercyhurst's wild 58-50 triple overtime win over Wayne State, Hall had two interceptions, blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone for a Laker touchdown, and recorded a season-high eight tackles. Against Michigan Tech, he set Mercyhurst single game records with eight kick returns and 173 return yards.
