Lakers Take Two from Salem International

Salem, W. Va. - Mercyhurst finished a game suspended by darkness from the previous evening wtih an 11-5 win over Salem International, then took a 14-6 final in a single game on Sunday. The Lakers also stretched their string of consecutive games with at least 11 runs to four.

Game One (Completion from 3/10)
In the first game, Wes Craig picked up the win with four innings of perfect relief.

Leading just 6-5 in the top of the sixth, a three-run double by Jeff Stoll broke the game open. Stoll finished the game 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a pair of two-base hits.

Josh Schmidt also doubled twice and David Lough, Brian Sanders and Jamie Walczak each had a pair of hits.

Game Two
In the game scheduled for Sunday, Adam Gray was the winner as the Lakers won 14-6. He walked just one in two innings of relief and struck out five.

David Lough had five of Mercyhurst's 23 hits on the day, homering and driving in four runs. Joe Luli, Jeff Stoll, Jamie Walczak, and Sean Weyant all had three hits. Luli, Stoll and Weyant each doubled twice.

Steve Grife struck out the side in the ninth.

With the two wins, Mercyhurst is 10-4 on the season.
