Erie, Pa - The Mercyhurst Club Hockey Team is wrapping up the first semester with a 4-4-1 record in ACHA Division I play. The team finished the 1st term with wins against the University of Michigan Dearborn, Duquesne University, Syracuse University, and the University of Rochester. The club hockey team struggled to find its stride after winning its season opener on the road against Duquesne University. After going 0-3 at the Division I Showcase, Mercyhurst lost its first ECHL regular season game to Robert Morris University, 5-4 in overtime.

Things began to turn around when Mercyhurst came from behind with 2 late third period goals by Co-captain Brent Klimow to upset the #6 seed in the ACHA from the University of Michigan Dearborn. With 2 ECHL wins against Syracuse and Rochester and 1 loss to Slippery Rock University, Mercyhurst finds itself at (.500) with a 4-4-1 record heading into thanksgiving break.

Senior Forward Kenny Waszak currently leads all Mercyhurst players in points with 19 (7 Goals/12 Assists), and 2.37 points per game.

Returning from break, the Mercyhurst Club Hockey Team will face-off against the University of Rochester, the University at Buffalo, Robert Morris University, and Robert Morris College from Illinois before heading into the Christmas break.
