Erie, Pa - The men's club hockey team recently suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of the #15th seed in the nation, Niagara University by a score of 4-3 in overtime. Both teams entered the contest with identical 3-0 records in ECHL league play, but it was Niagara that came out on top winning the battle for first place while remaining undefeated in league play at 4-0.

The club team hosted the University of Buffalo the following night, losing that contest by a score of 2-1. With the two weekend loses, Mercyhurst falls to 5-4-4 overall and 3-1-1 within ECHL league play.

Next up for the Lakers is a home game series against the University of Rochester and the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday December 1st and Sunday December 2nd respectively. Both home games begin at 1pm and will be played at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
