Erie, Pa - The Mercyhurst College Club Hockey Team will open their 2007-2008 season with a string of home exhibition games against the Dundas Junior Blues, the Central Penn Panthers and the Hampton Roads Junior Whalers beginning the last weekend in September.

The team will begin their ECHL and ACHA regular season schedule on the road against Syracuse University on October 12, 2007. The club team will play 10 ECHL regular season games against division rivals from Robert Morris University, Niagara University, the University at Buffalo, Syracuse University and the University of Rochester.

The remaining schedule is comprised mainly of College Hockey Mid-American (CHMA) opponents. In addition, the team will play 3 games against 2 different teams in the newly formed North East Collegiate Hockey League (NECHL), and two away games against Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) rival, Kent State University.

In addition to their exhibition schedule, the club team will play against 3 separate programs for the first time, which includes schools from the University of Pittsburgh, Youngstown State University and Oswego State University. This will be the first ever meeting between Mercyhurst and these respective programs.
