Erie, Pa - The Mercyhurst College club hockey team finished the 2006-2007 season with a record of 12 wins, 14 losses and 2 ties. The club hockey team finished with a 5-3-2 record in ECHL Conference play giving them the fourth seed going into the league playoffs. Mercyhurst knocked off the number one seed from RMU with a 3-2 victory in the ECHL semi-finals. They followed that victory up with a 5-4 win against the University of Buffalo culminating in the ECHL Playoff Championship.

Several players on the club team were honored with ECHL all-star nominations. Seniors Tim Falkner, Brent Klimow and Brad Maxa received ECHL all-star nominations and Senior Mike Boling and Freshman Kenny Hunt were honored with ECHL all rookie team nominations. In addition, four Mercyhurst players were selected to the all tournament team which included Junior Jason Kilijanski, and Seniors Andy O'Dell and Brent Klimow. Moreover, Sophomore goalie Adam Falkner was instrumental in both playoff wins stopping 87 of 93 shots for a (.935) playoff save percentage, getting recognized as the ECHL all tournament goaltender and playoff MVP.
