Erie, Pa - The Mercyhurst Club Hockey Team returned from St. Louis, Missouri with 1 win in 3 games. Mercyhurst lost its first two games against the #7 seed in the nation from Lindenwood University, but rebounded on Sunday afternoon with a shootout win against St. Louis University.

The team played hard in game 1 only to be deflated by a disallowed goal that would have tied the game in the second period. Lindenwood added to their lead in the third and Mercyhurst was unable to recover from the set-back. In game two, Mercyhurst scored 4 of its 5 goals on the power play, but were unable to contain Lindenwood's attack as they were outscored 8-5.

The team rebounded on Sunday afternoon with a shoot-out win against SLU. Marc Gattie netted the winner in the shoot-out and led the way for the Lakers scoring 2 goals and adding 5 assists for 7 points in three games. Overall, the Lakers enjoyed much success on special teams as 9 of their 12 goals scored over the weekend were done so on the power play.
