Student Athletics Advisory Committee (SAAC)

Mission

This organization exists to:

To streamline and promote efficient communication between the Athletic Department, Administration and the student-athlete population.
To provide a forum for the discussion of student-athlete concerns and a channel of communication to administrators through which these concerns can be heard.
To actively encourage more involvement of the student-athlete in campus and community activities.
To provide a vehicle for student-athlete representation thoughout and beyond the mercyhurst College campus via subcommittees.
To design and implement programs which will encourage academic achievement, promotion of health and wellness and social responsibility.
To create an environment in which all varsity teams are treated equally and to strive for an overall awareness of student-athlete activities on the Mercyhurst College campus.

The Mercyhurst College Student Athletic Advisory Committee is dedicated to the althletic and academic advancemnt of all student-athletes. Mercyhurst College SAAC provides a forum of rthe discussion of student-athlete concerns and a channel of communication to the administrators through which these concerns can be heard.

The Mercyhurst College SAAC will use the power of organization to promote not only the college's athletic teams but also help promote community and good sportsmanship ot hte college community and the Erie community in general. SAAC creates and environment in which all varsity sports are represented equally. Mercyhurst College SAAC strives for student-athlete awareness on the Mercyhurst Campus.
