John Costello - 1996 Hall of Fame Inductee

Costello ranks as one of the best pitchers to ever play for the Laker baseball team. He had a stellar career while at the Hurst, finishing his collegiate career with a 27-9 mark. During his junior season, Costello finished first in the nation with an impressive 1.12 ERA. His strike out per game ratio, 10.7, also placed him fifth in the country. Costello played Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Montreal Expos.
