Female Athlete of the Week
Meghan Agosta, Hockey

Sophomore forward Meghan Agosta had three goals, including a short-handed score, as Mercyhurst split with the No. 1 team in the country, New Hampshire. In the Lakers' 4-3 Friday win, Agosta scored twice to help the Lakers to the first victory over a No. 1 team in program history. Her first period goal put the Lakers on top 2-0 and then her short-handed breakaway tally early in the second gave Mercyhurst a 3-0 lead. In the team's 5-2 loss Saturday, Agosta scored the only goal of the opening period to give the Lakers a temporary lead.

Team of the Week
Women's Hockey

The Mercyhurst women's hockey team beat a team ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time in program history, splitting a two-game series with top-ranked New Hamphsire over the weekend. The Lakers beat the Wildcats Friday night 4-3 behind a pair of goals from Meghan Agosta, a score from Valerie Chouinard just 10 seconds into the contest, and a second-period insurance goal from Ashley Cockell. On Saturday night, Mercyhurst jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Agosta and Jesse Scanzano, but UNH answered with five consecutive scores, two in the final six minutes of play.
