Junior goalkeeper Matt Lundin made 66 saves in two games against Sacred Heart on the weekend. In a 3-2 overtime loss to Sacred Heart Friday, he had 36 saves, including 29 in the final two periods of regulation to help push the game to overtime. In a 2-2 overtime tie Saturday, Lundin made 30 saves, including a handful of spectacular stops, and was named the No. 1 star in the contest. He had 13 third period saves and two more in the overtime to preserve the tie.

Female Athlete Of The Week
Meghan Agosta, Hockey

Sophomore Meghan Agosta scored three goals, including both game-winners, as Mercyhurst defeated Princeton 3-1 and 1-0 in a two-game set this weekend. Her 15th goal of the season was the only score in the 1-0 victory and was her 100th career point. She is just the 10th player in the history of the program to reach 100 career points and has done it in only 49 career games.

Honor roll - Amy Achesinski, Basketball; Danielle Ayearst, Hockey; Stephanie Prischak, Basketball

Team Of The Week
Women's Hockey

The Mercyhurst women's hockey team buckled down defensively and swept a two-game set from Princeton 3-1 and 1-0 this week. Princeton posted just 43 shots in the two games combined and the Mercyhurst defense, led by Danielle Ayearst, held the Tigers 0-for-13 on power play opportunities. Courtney Drennan was the goalie of record in the opening game and moved to 18-0-2 in her career and 4-0 this year. Laura Hosier posted her 15th career shutout in the second game and now has 59 career wins, just four shy of the school record. Sophomore Meghan Agosta had three of the four goals on the weekend and scored her 100th career point with the only goal in game two.
