Male Athlete of the Week
Billy Colton, Soccer

Freshman Billy Colton led the way offensively this weekend as the Mercyhurst Lakers men's soccer team earned two key GLIAC wins. In the Lakers' 5-3 Friday win over Findlay, Colton tallied three goals for his first collegiate hat trick. Then on Sunday, in the Lakers 1-0 win over Ashland, Colton assisted on Mercyhurst's lone goal to seal the win. As a freshman, Colton is tied for first in points with 12 goals and two assists this season.

Female Athlete of the Week
Natalie Payne, Hockey

Defender Natalie Payne had six assists in two wins over Boston University over the weekend. In a thrilling 6-5 come-from-behind win Friday night, Payne had three assists, including both of Mercyhurst's third period lamplighters that brought the Lakers back from a one-goal deficit. She then assisted on each of Mercyhurst's first three goals in the Lakers' 4-1 victory Saturday.

Team of the Week
Women's Soccer

The Mercyhurst women's soccer team earned two GLIAC wins this weekend with a 5-0 defeat of Findlay and a 3-2 win over Ashland. The Lakers are now 11-3-1 this season and 5-2 in the GLIAC. Mercyhurst is second in the GLIAC behind Grand Valley State and fifth in the region. Junior Sarah Powell leads the Lakers offensively with 12 goals and six assists for 30 points this season. The 5-0 win over Findlay was the eighth shutout this year behind junior goalkeeper Rebecca Heintzman.
