Kenneth Foster, Cross Country

Junior Kenneth Foster crossed the finish line in a time of 27:59 and led the Lakers with a second-place finish at the Le Moyne Invitational. Foster, coming off a win at the "Race at the Park" last weekend, earned his fourth top 10 in five events. He has also paced the Lakers in every event this season.

Female Athlete Of The Week
Stephanie Jones, Hockey

Senior captain Stephanie Jones scored four points on the week as the No. 2 women's hockey team went 3-0 on the week, outscoring opponents 12-0 in the process. Jones assisted on the game-winner in a 3-0 victory over Robert Morris and added two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist as the Lakers rolled through Maine 5-0 Saturday. Jones is just five points shy of 100 for her career.

Women's Hockey

Mercyhurst went 3-0 to open the season, defeating Robert Morris 3-0 in its conference opener and then sweeping Maine 4-0 and 5-0. Ranked No. 2 in the country, the Lakers shut out three opponents to start the season for the first time in program history, allowed only 37 shots in the three contests, and killed all 18 of its opponents power play opportunities on the week. In a thoroughly dominant effort against Maine Friday night, the Lakers held a 66-8 advantage in shots on goal and won 52-of-65 face-offs.
