Team of the Week
Football

The Mercyhurst football team stunned Ferris State 42-23 Saturday night in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) action. A relentless offensive attack, combined with a defensive effort that stymied standout quarterback C.J. Van Wieren, led to the team's fi rst win in the state of Michigan since 2000. Running back Richard Stokes was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while fellow Laker teammate, linebacker Charlie Gleisner, was named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. The victory snapped a 20-game losing streak in games played in the state of Michigan.
