With a 12-4 win over No. 1 Dowling Saturday, the Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team put itself in position to get its first No. 1 ranking in program history. The Lakers dominated the top-ranked team in the country, shutting out the Golden Lions for the first 30 minutes and holding a 7-0 halftime lead. After Dowling came out of the break with four consecutive goals, Mercyhurst stopped the momentum and scored five in a row to cap off the victory.
