Male Athlete of the Week
Jamie Walczak, Baseball

During a weekend in which hits came at a premium, Jamie Walczak batted .571 with a .727 on-base percentage. Three of Walczak's four hits went for extra bases, including two doubles and a homer. He had a critical RBI double in the Lakers' 2-1 win over Findlay Saturday. For the year, Walczak is hitting .351 with three homers and 11 RBI.

Female Athlete of the Week
Breanna Haggerty, Women's Lacrosse

Junior Breanna Haggerty became Mercyhurst's all-time leading goal scorer earlier this year and had 14 goals in two games this week. She had five goals and two assists in a 23-9 win over Seton Hill and then scored a career-high nine goals and added two more assists in a big 18-3 win over No. 9 Queens. Haggerty leads the country in goals per game, with 39 in seven games, and has 134 in her career.

Team of the Week
Women's Lacrosse

Ranked No. 8 in the country, the Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team had a big week, defeating Seton Hill on the road 23-9, and dominating No. 9 Queens 18-3 at Tullio Field. The Lakers outshot Seton Hill 53-22 as ten different players scored in the rout. Breanna Haggerty led the way with five goals and two assists and Jessie Horeth added two goals and three assists. In the win over Queens, Haggerty had a career-high nine goals and added two assists. Kimberly Masterton and Horeth each added three goals in the victory.
